The Wickham Market Partnership was formed as a company limited by guarantee from a working party of the Wickham Market Parish Council in October 2002. In February 2003 the Partnership attained charitable status. Its principle purpose is to obtain funding and work with various organisations to improve the facilities in Wickham Market and the surrounding communities. Suffolk Coastal District Council completed the redevelopment of the centre of Wickham Market with funds from the East of England Development Agency, Suffolk County Council and the Parish Council in 2001. The Partnership provided part of the funding for a skate park and play area built in 2004. Its main project was the Resource Centre opened in conjunction with Suffolk County Counci in 2004. The Partnership also gave matched funding to several other organisations in 2004 & 2005. In 2006 the Partnership sought to identify the further needs of the community with an event in the local school.  This subsequently led to a successful bid for funding from the Big Lottery to build three tennis courts and form a tennis club, which were completed in 2008.  The most recent addition has been a full-sized basketball court added in 2009.

Two bungalows linked by a reception area were converted into the Resource Centre in 2004. This building includes a library and community rooms.  The latter are managed by the Wickham Market Partnership

The community rooms provide interview and meeting rooms for use by various local organisations offering advice, assistance and self-help including a range of health services. The rooms are also available for hire.

Suffolk County Council and the Wickham Market Partnership share the new building. The East of England Development Agency and the County Council funded this project.
