After competing for public votes on television against a school in Felixstowe, we won the runners-up prize (for having the most votes from all the losers) of £94,000 (including VAT). The tennis courts were completed and officially opened by Christine (Truman) Janes, a former Wimbledon finalist, on 27th September 2008. The lottery funding covered the building of the courts including legal fees, buying tennis equipment, and coaching courses etc as well as the formation of a tennis club.

The courts are available for Pay & Play at a cost of £5 per hour with £5 deposit for the key available from Seagers. Tennis Club membership allows free use of the courts with a deposit of £2.50 for a key. Further details are available from Hilary Russell on 01728 747414.
